This Africa wall decor a Bedu plank mask, made by the Nafana tribe from the Ivory Coast. The Bedu masks are used by males and females during dances at a number of ceremonies and festivals; including the Kulango, ‘end of dry season’, hunting festival, the Nafana new year full-moon ceremony  Dafiago and the Zaurau festival, the masks are used to protect the villagers from threats and inspire fertility within the community.
