African Hand Carved Doors, Wood Panels

These African hand carved wooden doors or panels were meticulously crafted by Nupe artists from Nigeria.   The last door featured here is a Dogon door hand carved by the Dogon people residing in central plateau region of Mali, in West Africa, south of the Niger bend, near the city of Bandiagara and in Burkina Faso.

To carve a single panel/door takes several months.
