These African wooden Bamileke beds were hand-carved in Cameroon. This particular style is often referred to as a donut or bracelet Bamileke. These hand-carved circles are a contemporary version, of the more traditional beds, from West Africa. The first image featured above is a rare find, due to the fact that it does not have a pillow carved in the wood, on top of the bed.
These beds can either be place in a room as art decor or used as a bench, especially at the foot and end of a bed. However, what is trendy right now, is to use the Bamileke beds as coffee tables, in either a residential, hospitality of office space.
